Naturism and Driving the Crimson Wave Naked:

The Diva Cup Reviewed By Felicity:
This place is for girls, notably people who like to go nude! Men, if period-conversation makes you uneasy, then keep reading 😉
Well I came across just a little menstruation (Yeah it is like 6th grade health class all over again) product awhile back called the Diva Cup. I was definitely curious to try it, so when I saw it on the shelf in my own local health food store, I snatched it up! The Diva Cup is a silicone-established menstrual cup which is inserted into the vagina just like a tampon. However, instead of absorbing everything, it is all rolled up in the cup. You are able to wear it for up to 12 hours at a time (in http://nudists-young.org/contri/of-course-erections-should-be-covered-up/ to altering a tampon every few hours), and it doesn’t leak! (Given it is properly inserted, and it might take some training.)
Diva Cup and its carrying case
Can you dread the “ruby wave” crashing your nakation? I understand many girls do, particularly those new to nudism. Well I was excited to review this on my site because this is amazing for naturist girls! It is so discrete, you no longer have to worry about an inept, observable tampon string. Women, this is http://shockintown.com/post/now-i-sunbathe-only-nude/ to love going completely unclothed during your period and be more relaxed and comfortable doing so. It took me a few days to get used to it, but the cup is actually very user-friendly. I remember hearing about this kind of merchandise quite a while ago, believing it seemed cluttered and a little gross, but it’s not. Plus it is so much more suitable than tampons. (Ever been to Sandy Hook naked beach and had to trip back and forth to the bathroom a mile away?) It also might take a little practice, but it actually won’t leak when it is correctly fit.
The other advantages of using the Diva Cup instead of tampons and pads are that it’s eco-friendly and saves a fortune. The Diva Cup individuals did some computations, estimating the typical woman will use 10,000 tampons and pads in her lifetime. That is lots of resulting waste and money. Additionally they quote some research: “More than 170,000 tampon applicators were gathered along U.S. coastal regions between 1998 and 1999.” There is so much plastic and garbage that washes up on shores, and I’d prefer never to add my dumped tampon applicators to it. Ick! If properly cared for, the Diva Cup will survive for 1 year and costs around $30 to $40, making it more cost effective than tampons/pads purchased in annually.
The drawbacks? For one, I was worried by the long list of soaps which you should not use to clean it, aka every kind of soap I had at home. But really any light, unscented soap should be good, or you’re able to get the Diva Wash, especially made for it. Another dilemma is if you end up trying to take it out and wash it privately in a public bathroom. Nobody desires to take that up to the sink. The solution is simple though: empty it into the bathroom, clean it off with some tissue, and good to go until you get home.
For additional questions or concerns I recommend heading over to the Diva Cup FAQ page.
And I enjoyed it so much, I am doing my first giveaway! Enter to win your individual Diva Cup, of either size, before midnight on Monday, April 9th.

Can it be the unclothed beach experience I ‘ve always fantasized about? Not necessarily. When you hear others talk about their naturist encounters, or when you read trip reports and see pictures of nudist holidays in magazines or on the web, you get a certain picture in mind, an image of a place where everyone’s naked, everywhere, all the time: swimming, relaxing, playing, dancing, and even dining – all in the buff. Of course, I did not expect that much from this holiday, and maybe next time, someplace such as Cap D’Agde would make a more suitable destination. This holiday was far from an ideal vision I had in mind. But it’s undoubtedly a part of the right path. I have come a ways from skinny dips stolen at nighttime.

And one thing for sure, it is great to understand that I ‘ve the local option.

Finding Nude or Naturist Paradise
For my preceding naturist website narratives, see Part 1 Least Likely To Become Naturist; Part 2 Boobs Boobs Everywhere; Part 3 Home Nudist Held Captive and Part 4 Seeking for the Naturist-Bird.
Well, my second favourite word, the first being http://wnude.com/topic/wet-and-nude-topic-about-naughty-beach-girl.php . But since naked can mean nearly anything, I sought under “naturist” and came up with Paradise Lakes Resort in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
“Can you go naked there?” I asked her. “Really? Like . . . wherever you need? Actually? The complete time? Amazing!” OK, maybe I didn’t say wonderful, but that was how I felt.
Only difficulty? I needed to be 18. But despite being unable to go, simply knowing a place existed where people were free to go naked made me happy. But telling a twelve year old to wait six years is like telling an adult to wait 600.
Finding Nude or Naturist Paradise
Flash forward a decade, I am twenty two and just completed Saint Petersburg Junior College, and my family life has radically changed. My father, who’d been a workaholic since 1952, finally built his dream house.
This, obviously, had to resemble the Parthenon, with two story columns and an immense front door we’re able to never open and a private backyard that looked like the Garden of Eden.
Sadly, my parents were old and tired and spent much more time at home. Other than sitting on my nude bottom in front of my Amiga, the isolation I once enjoyed was no more. All I ‘d to look forward to were summer trips to the isles.
naturist narrative – Finding Naked or Naturist Paradise
If you’d have seen my University of South Florida I.D. card, you would have thought I was trying to pass myself off as [add dark skinned stereotype here]. Ordinarily, I am more Germanic looking than Greek, but I’d spent about a month on the isle of Mykonos risking skin cancer. Free body tourism in Greece, nevertheless, was on the decline. All the while, I hated the constant secrecy, which became more of a burden than ties, church shoes or wet bathing suits. Returning stateside after so much sun where the “sun do not shine” was depressing.
Lo and behold, the resort I Had called ten years previously popped up. Why I Had never thought to do that before is beyond me. I checked the address, assuming it must be situated in some distant part of the Everglades, but God, it seems, truly wanted me to remain a naturist.
I commuted an hour to school each day, and the route was convoluted. What I hadn’t understood was that I was driving by the biggest naturist resort in the nation, for months, every damn day. A five mile detour and I was in Paradise Lakes Clothing Optional Resort.
ilovethebeach of joining a resort was a lot like taking that first shower without locking the door. For almost a decade I considered myself a naturist, but never spoke to anyone who could say the exact same.
The folks on the shores talked Swedish and German and were generally being intimate with their partners. I worried that in detecting other naturists, I might find they were nothing like I imagined, all hippies or rednecks, or sex-crazed weirdoes.
Driving around the checkpoint, like those used in gated communities, a middle-aged girl checked me over like I was a secret agent. Without mentioning naturism, she asked, “Have you been here before?”
“No.”
“Do you realize what this place is?”
“Yes, of course.”
But you will have to take the day tour!”

A Review of Living Waters Spa in Southern California

Living Waters Spa – We decided to check out Living Waters Spa, a clothing optional resort and resort in Desert Hot Springs. This is just 8 miles from Terra Cotta, right near Palm Springs. Living Waters Spa is an oasis in the desert, with a view of the magnificent San Jacinto Mountains. We reserved a regular poolside room for one night. One of the owners, Jeff, gave us a quick tour, and we settled in. The room had all we needed – a bed, mini-refrigerator, and toilet. For other lodgings, there are rooms with a full kitchen in addition to condos. (Day visits are also an alternative for those who do not wish to remain overnight.)

The property essentially consist of a hot tub, pool, Finnish sauna and massage room. The Finnish dry sauna is actually a restored classic sauna remaining from LWS’s days as a 1960’s “spa-tel.” They can be structured a lot like Terra Cotta, with the rooms encircling the pool and hot tub. But what’s special about their water is that it’s pure mineral water straight out of the earth. Additionally they do not have to heat the pool or hot tub themselves because it is naturally heated to 105 degrees by the Earth. Since it is http://www.videonudist.com like this, they do not have to add any chemicals, salt or chlorine. It’s a pretty sweet set up and unique to this resort. The water supply is all mineral water so you can drink all you need on tap too.
Me in the mineral water hot tub (pool in background) at Living Waters Spa
There were a smattering of other guests while we were there, mainly couples, and we chatted with them in http://www.nudistclip.com . They do enable singles and strive to be inclusive, which is a big plus in our book. Most people were naked, but a few kept their bathing suits on, which is their choice since it’s clothes-optional. Still, I was surprised that this relaxing experience didn’t lead them to shake off their inhibitions and try social nudity. Perhaps they simply do not understand how much better it feels to be naked in the water and sauna.
Close some of the plants surrounding the pool was a hummingbird feeder. I loved watching the little hummingbirds quickly flapping their wings and perching there. In one upper corner of the building, there is a visible nest, and Jeff told us that for the past few years they’ve returned there to lay eggs. He’s truly strapped a camera up there so as to get an up close view of fresh infants. So if you see later in the winter, you might get a view of these little chicks!
Photograph courtesy of http://www.livingwatersspa.com
Indoors they also have a communal room with tables and seats where you are able to hang out, socialize and say hello to Doc, their amazing African Grey parrot. She will say hello, but see about putting your fingers in the cage! There is free Wifi too, if you have to connect.
In the day, Jeff and Judy brought out their daily complimentary portion of hors d’oeuvres to the hot tub – cheeses, crackers, dips, fruit, hibiscus tea, wine and other snacks to nibble on. This is also an opportunity for them to mingle with the guests and engage us in a mind boggling game of attempting to guess all the fixings in one of the dips. The individual to guess all of them wins a massage. None of us figured out the last fixing. Regarding food, they don’t have a restaurant on the premises, but they do serve a modest breakfast every morning. For other meals you can order in food from one of the nearby restaurants or go out to eat.
Being a spa, among the chief features here is the massage therapy. We did not get a massage, but I’m confident it is wonderful. They have developed their own techniques and offer a couple of different kinds. Jeff and Judy are both accredited massage therapists, and they told us this is their passion. Additionally they offer massage workshops for couples through the year.
We had recommend Living Waters Spa for a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. It is therapeutic on many levels, from the massage to the mineral water to the majestic views of the mountains. See the spa’s web site for more actions in the place. For FKK members, we should remind you that LWS is an affiliate location, in order to get a 20-25% discount on your stay. In browsing their website, I found LWS also offers a 25% reduction to breast cancer survivors! So that’s pretty awesome.

The rhetoric of the nudism and anti-nudism movements stresses independence from many of the standard constraints which control human interaction in naturist settings, although for different reasons. Using data from French and German shores, this hypothesis was tested using five different indexes. Little essential variation between nudists and non-nudists within French and German settings is found in their patterns of interactional spacing, while more important main effects for differences of cultures are found regardless of nudity status. As a subculture, nudists would appear to differ from nonnudists only within their propensity to like to sunbathe in the nude. Their naked status would appear to have none of the de-inhibiting effects frequently credited to nudism. By contrast, clear ethnic differences between German and French cultures are revealed consistent with Hall’s high-low context distinction and the Francoeurs’ hot-trendy sexuality continuum.[14]

Naturist facilities

At naturist organised events or places clothes is normally optional, except by swimming pools or sunbathing lawns where complete nudity is expected, weather allowing. This rule is sometimes a source of controversy among some naturists. Staff at a naturist facility are typically required to be clothed as a result of health and safety regulations.[8]

Facilities for naturists are classified in various ways. A landed or members’ naturist club is one that owns its own facilities, while non-landed (or travel) clubs meet at various places, for example private residences, swimming pools, hot springs, landed clubs and resorts, and rented facilities. Either way, they are able to establish membership standards and the obligations of members. This normally includes sharing work needed to preserve or develop the site.[15]

UK clubs are now required to have child-protection policies in place, and designated child-protection officers. Many clubs encourage regular social activities.[citation needed]

The international naturist organizations were chiefly composed of representatives of landed clubs.[1] Nudist colony is no longer a favored term, but it is used by naturists as a term of derision for landed clubs that have rigid non-inclusive membership criteria, and in metadata on naturist websites.

A holiday centre is a facility that specializes in supplying apartments, chalets and camping pitches for visiting holidaymakers. The center is run commercially, and visitors are not members and have no say in the management. Most vacation centres expect visitors to hold an INF card, that’s, be a member of their national organization, but some have relaxed this restriction, relying on the taking of a trade card. Holiday centers could be very modest, just a couple of hectares or large dwelling over 300 hectares.[f] In a large vacation centre there will be swimming pools, sports pitches, an entertainment program, kids’ clubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Some vacation centres enable regular visitors to purchase their own chalets, and generations of precisely the same families will see each year.[5] Vacation centres are more tolerant of clothing than members-only clubs; absolute nudity is generally compulsory in the swimming pools and may be anticipated on the beaches, while on the football pitches, or in the eateries in the evening, it’s rare.[5]

A naturist resort is, to a European, an essentially urban development where naturism is the standard. Cap d’Agde in France, naturist village Charco del Palo on Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Vera Playa in Spain[16] and Vritomartis[17] in Greece are examples. Some residents use these resorts as a year round house.[citation needed]

In US usage, a naturist resort can mean a holiday center.[18]

The abbreviation is widely recognised throughout Europe and often discovered on http://nudests.net indicating the direction to a remote naturist beach.
Nude beaches

A characteristic of bathing on a nude beach is the anonymity it offers, with membership of a club not being demanded, nor detailed application procedures, nor pre-booking of visits.[original research?][citation needed]

Robin Lewis and Louis Janda conducted a study in 1998 to examine the association between adult sexual adjustment and youth exposure to nudity, sleeping in the parental bed, and parental attitudes toward sexuality. These components had mixed results in previous studies, which necessitated further research.

The results of the study were clear: there’s a positive relationship between youth exposure to nudist teen and adult sexual comfort. Further, the study found that children from birth to age five who were exposed to nudity felt less distress with affection and physical contact as they grew older. Children ages 6-11 who were exposed to nudity (i.e. naturist children ) had greater self-esteem and knowledge about sex.
Margaret Mead is an anthropologist who has completed many studies on the effects of nudity on kids and is among the most well known researchers with this topic. Dr. Mead examined cultures throughout the world and noted many negative effects that clothes had in the western culture’s garments-dependent society.
These effects include a separation of self from the body, too little point of comparison for all body parts because of clothing covering them, a preoccupation with sex which is accentuated through clothes, and a lack of education about the human body associated with dearth of exposure to it. She further identified that the nudity or partial nudity common to more primitive cultures was not an indicator of a deficiency of modesty, and the way nudity is managed within a culture is more significant compared to the existence of nudity in determining whether it will have negative effects. One area that she highlights is that the child must see nudity among adults so they know what their body will become; this is vital to the developing individual.
One common theme throughout the research was the effect of the household’s and society’s attitude about nudity on kids. The existence of a positive or negative approach towards nudity was much more important than any other variable in nearly every situation when it came to how a child would react to nudity around them.
Kids can gain increased knowledge and understanding of the body in every one of its forms along with greater comfort with sexuality and physical contact as they grow old. Additionally they learn to accept their own bodies and have greater self-esteem. Thus it really is really up to us as parents, as educators, as people, as a society, to adopt a more open and accepting perspective of nudity for youngsters to benefit.
On a continuing note:
Nudity, Family Nudism and Raising Naturist Kids

Family Nudism and Raising Naturist Kids
Nudism is a lifestyle, a doctrine for some. It is not about stripping offone’s clothing to be an exhibitionist. It is about personal liberty and toleration of the body in all its forms and attractiveness.
I grew up in a bare dwelling that supportednudismand family nudity.
It was just natural that my loving husband and I also practice family naturism. When in private, we and our childrenrefrain from wearing clothing in our house and secluded garden. We have picked a homethat is away from others, enabling us to express ourselves in our own manner.
Family Naturism is one kind of expression for us. Just as others select certain clothes to wear, we, in our family, just pick to wear none.
Family nudism, nudity in your family and raising naturist kids
Our young kids, ages four and six, have entire acceptance in their bodies. They know the proper names for his or her anatomy and use them accordingly.
There’s no anxiety or embarrassment about seeing a man nude. My husband and I often speak about how wonderful our children are. Nudity, in many ways, has brought us all closer together.
As http://wwwthoun.com/most-popular/ , we honor the rights and wishes of others in addition to most social standards. If business comes to call, such as other children from from our youngsters school, or when we go out in public, most people are dressed. Nevertheless, just as solitude is restored, we are all quick to shed any covering and poof – back to being the nude family again.
There is nothing like the sensation of the clean atmosphere and heat of the sun on the nakedbody. None of us are uneasy while bare in the least. There’s nothing sexualabout being anaturistand there isn’t anything sexual or obscene about uncomplicated family nudity also.
From day one, both my husband and I grew up with in naturist families. We used to assemble for special naturist functions so from a young age, we became accustomed to seeing each other’s naked bodies.
